Chrome Extension for Salesforce Lead Routing (2021)

Project: Following Teladoc Health's acquisitions of InTouch Health and Livongo, the marketing automation team needed a faster way to prepare records for lead routing across three unconsolidated Salesforce instances.

Challenges: Bulk exports from Data Loader were useful, but duplicate lead/contact records, name variations, conflicting record owners, and parent-child account relationships made matching unreliable. Each record still required human review before it could be entered into the secondary review workbook.

Solution: Since the lookup process required human judgment, I focused on the repeatable step that could be automated: extracting and transferring the data after the correct record was identified. I built a JavaScript-based Chrome extension that pulled key field values from Salesforce record pages, normalized instance-specific labels, calculated activity recency, and copied a tab-delimited row to the clipboard, bridging Salesforce records with the Excel workbook used for secondary review. After testing, I shared the tool with other members of the marketing automation team handling the same review work. It reduced manual scrolling, field searching, repeated field checking, and copy-and-paste errors while ensuring the same fields were consistently captured in the same order.

Results: The extension reduced data-processing time by roughly 80% and helped move records down the funnel to Lead Development faster for routing and follow-up. By speeding up data capture after each Salesforce lookup, the extension freed up more time for secondary spreadsheet review, where duplicate lead/contact records, record ownership, account relationships, and sales rep assignments were confirmed before routing decisions affected commissions. Over several months, our three-person team processed thousands of records, including a virtual Telehealth Innovation Forum attendee list with several thousand records.

Telehealth Innovation Forum (2020)

Project: InTouch Health, now part of Teladoc Health, held an annual Forum showcasing new developments in virtual care, with speakers from across the country. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team rapidly converted the event from in-person to fully virtual while preserving the experience attendees had come to expect.

Results: Email drove 33% of total Forum registrations. The original goal was 1,000 total event registrations; the email channel alone brought in roughly 1,300.

Challenges: The shift to a fully virtual format meant communications had to do more than promote the event. Email became a primary tool for building interest, setting expectations, and guiding attendees through a two-day digital experience.

With multiple audience segments, registration stages, content updates, and live-event timing to manage, the campaign required careful coordination across promotional and attendee communications. To support that effort, I built targeted email lists and messaging that connected the right audiences with relevant sessions, speakers, and event updates.
