Branding
Logos, Colors, & Typography
The Mossaic logo was designed to reflect the product at its core: wall art made of preserved moss. Set in bold Lato, the wordmark is clean and approachable, but the real story lives in the letter "O," which is replaced by a mosaic of circles in varying sizes and shades.
The palette of Moss, Leaf, Algae, Natural, and Twig mirrors the organic color range found in real dried moss, making the icon feel like a tiny piece of the product itself. After sketching multiple iterations by hand, the final mark was executed in Illustrator.

Photography
Product photography was shot at home on a dining table, then retouched in post with careful masking and background replacement to create clean, consistent images. For the product shots, a white brick wall background was composited in to give each piece a natural, gallery-style presentation. The hero images on the website take it a step further, using stock photography of interior spaces with the products composited in, giving shoppers a sense of how a Mossaic piece looks in an actual living environment.
Website
The Mossaic website was built on Shopify, with code modifications and brand-specific tweaks to move it beyond an out-of-the-box theme. The focus was on creating a shopping experience that felt cohesive with the overall brand, from the product pages to the checkout flow.
